With traffic control for national day parade rehearsal, We still have around 140 attendees show up and 17 talks for Beijing Perl Workshop.

Like I mentioned in the closing, We would like to have the next year workshop in Shanghai or Hangzhou to make the workshop more affordable for the people from southern China. We welcome people with ideas/resources on setting up the 2010 workshop to contact us ASAP.
There will be infrequent Perl monger meetup in Beijing, keep an eye on the PerlChina mailing list/forum

Announce Beijing Perl Workshop, Call for paper, Registration open

PerlChina is organizing another free one day event of Beijing Perl Workshop this year on September 19th (Saturday).
Yes, It is happening one week after the awesome YAPC::Asia and it is only less than 4 hours flight away from Japan. If you have ever been fascinated by the Chinese (the food, the great wall or the great firewall :) or chinese perl hackers), This is an awesome opportunity!
We're also announcing Call For Papers and registration today.
We are looking for 20 and 40 minutes presentations (All things Perl) or topics that can be applied to Perl. Register the conference and submit your proposals via the site. Feel free to submit multiple proposals if you want to increase your chance to speak. You are welcome to submit Lighting talks as well and it is not limited by the following deadline.
The deadline for the submissions is Aug 8th, 2009.
