Thanks everyone for attending this workshop!

Currently we are working on the following things and please keep an eye on the workshop page.

1. collect all slides and put them on workshop page

2. process the videos and offer download/watch online.

3. preparing Beijing Perl Monger

This workshop is organized in merely 2 months. There are probably many things that we didn't do it right, please let us know and help us to run a better workshop next year.

Also, Please blog about us and post pictures about the workshop. We need more publicity!

250 people have registered for the workshop so far. It has exceeded the capacity of the venue thus We have closed the online registration.

Venue Change

First, Apology to people who are affected by this change.

Due to the number of people who are interested in attending the workshop, We decided to choose another venue for a more relax and comfortable event. The new venue will be:

2nd floor, Tower E2, Oriental Plaza, #1 East ChangAn Ave., DongCheng District, Beijing. The venue is near the DongDan subway station.

thanks for registering the Beijing Perl Workshop.

There are few things that needs your attention:

  • Please make sure the T-Shirt is in right size.
  • If you can't make it to the workshop, Please un-register yourself from the workshop.
  • We are still looking for lighting talk speakers, please submit your talk.
  • Please login the workshop website and pick the talks that you would like to attend. It helps to choose the right room for the speaker.

Beijing Perl Workshop opens for business

If you have been looking for excuse to visit China, this maybe it!

PerlChina is hosting the Beijing Perl Workshop on Nov 08,2008 Saturday. This workshop is jointly organized with Postgresql China. Workshop is free for all. Please register at http://conference.perlchina.org/bjpw2008/

We are also calling for speakers. We are accepting Perl talks in 20, 40 and 60 mintues length, plus 5 minutes lighting talk. Everyone is welcome to submit a talk proposal -- we are hoping to give everyone a chance to speak in the workshop. Deadline for submiting talk proposal is Oct, 21th. Thanks to O'Reilly and HuangZhang, every speaker will get a free book for their participation.

Currently we have invited Jesse Vincent as speaker from the USA. he is the Perl 6 manager, Jifty and RT creator.
